Internship
Alpha Creek Internships
Over the last 10 years, Alpha Creek's internship program has been an immense success. In fact, the majority of our full time employees started with us as interns. Internships are generally scheduled semester-by-semester. The goal for each student is to apply accounting theory taken from the classroom to real world accounting applications. Our internship structure offers students that opportunity. Alpha Creek provides an environment conducive for learning, and that starts with our internship program.

Compensation
$15 per hour and/or class credit
Additional Projects, Training or Meetings
Due to the nature of the accounting industry, special projects often come up in the normal course of business. Our interns will assist in projects including but not limited to projections, budgeting, and owner distributions. It is our goal for every intern to develop a broad understanding of our business and the accounting industry in general which will assist them as they move forward in their professional careers.
Internship
Interns will be responsible for a myriad
of tasks including, but not limited to
Performing interim and month end bank reconciliations on apartment housing portfolios
Assisting the Accounts Payable department in daily check runs, which include determining available cash balances, cutting checks and mailings
Performing journal entries and reclass entries as required per owner’s discretion
Developing proficient skills in our accounting software, thus giving exposure to accounting software’s universal functionality relating to other accounting industries

Other special projects determined by management
